影片改编自美国女作家 Kody Keplinger 出版于2010年的同名小说，英文片名The DUFF，是“指定的又丑又胖的朋友”（Designated Ugly Fat Friend）的首字母缩写。惠特曼饰演的高中女生比安卡，在学校里就是人尽皆知的“DUFF”，在她那些又高又瘦又美的闺蜜们身边，不知不觉地默默当着绿叶，衬托她们，让她们显得更有魅力。 某天比安卡忽然之间得知了这个令人震惊的事实，她开始努力改变自己的形象，找来了学校广受欢迎的韦斯利（罗比·阿梅尔饰）帮忙参谋，寻回自信，战胜那些把她标注为“DUFF”的讨厌鬼。。On Christmas Eve in 1968 six-year-old army brat Clairee simultaneously learns the hard truth about Santa Claus and the realities of war. Her bullying older brother Mickey informs her that Santa insn't real and that their absent father is actually far away, serving his country in the Vietnam War。At the end of his rope, a newly redundant office drone (Nathanael Chadwick, THE LAST PORNO SHOW) takes a rideshare driver job, but the gig isn’t making ends meet, and he’s missing bill payments, avoiding calls from his landlord, and not spending time with his partner and new baby. Days of frustrating bookings, from bickering couples to puking party girls, reach a boiling point....。
