The creator of "The Fly" and "Dead Ringers" manages to observe himself after death, all curious about the body who peacefully rest in bed and to which he reacts very tenderly.。民国初年，西北大灾，沙陀市赈灾黄金被盗，马思懿奉命追查，却卷入贪嗔痴的仪式性杀人案中。马思懿步步为营，在当地警察、民团、军阀的各方势力中，逐渐接近事件真相，最终追回黄金，用于赈灾。。
